This part of editing shows how I managed to convert real life images form my film into looking cartoon like.

Artist permission.
In order to be able to use Jamie T's music, I had to write for permission to Jamie T and his label. To do this, I had to go onto his website in order to find out how to get in touch with him. On his website, it showed the different different ways of communicating with him, these included Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, Twitter etc.
I then had to log onto my own Facebook account and become a fan of his page in order to write to him. I wrote a detailed post asking for permission to use his music and posted it on his wall.

Music Video Influences

Media influences
These are some of the important media influences which gave me the ideas for my work. The cartoon images from Marvel's 'Spiderman', for example, gave me the idea for speech bubbles in my music video. The posters in my media classroom gave me major influences on how to present my advertisement. The bold fonts used and the eye catching imagery showed me the right way to attract the audience and get their attention. The 'Quadrophenia' photograph was the influence behind my CD covers, with the blue and red partnership with cartoon images to go with it.

Advanced Portfolio- Planning
At the beggining of the course, we took a look at old student work of their filming to gain a good knowledge of what we had to do. We also looked at their media analysis. Here we were able to identify what was required of our work and what to avoid when doing it.
For the first part of this course, we were asked to choose two pieces of media footage of our choice, and do an analysis for each one. This could be a music video, a tv advert, a cinema trailer etc. Here we had to analyse the different camera shots, angles and effects while also analysing the mise-en-scene of the video. For my two videos, I chose to analyse two music videos as that is what I want to make for my final piece. I chose 'Jamie T- Sticks 'n Stones' and 'Hadouken- Waiting for You'. I chose these two videos as they are completely different to one another. I wanted to explore what shots and settings helped give the video a story
behind it. This could then help me when I film my music video, having the knowledge of what angles would suit best and how it will help to tell the story of the video.
